Prof Moses Cho; the African Association of Remote Sensing (AARSE) convener of the technical committee on algorithm development and application; in collaboration with the Faculty of Geo-Information Science (ITC), University of Twente, The Netherlands organised a two-week refresher course on "Vegetation mapping and monitoring using Sentinel 2 data", at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Pretoria, South Africa, 14-25 November 2016.

2017 IEEE GRSS Summer School
All early PhD and senior Masters students are invited to register for the upcoming IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society Summer School, to be held over two days before the ISRSE 37 conference. This event follows on from annual events held since the IEEE IGARSS 2009 Conference held in Cape Town, and has been held in conjunction with AARSE Conferences. The Monitoring for Environment and Security in Africa (MESA), was recently featured on 105.3 AFRO FM Radio.
