NEWS: SSTL to Jointly Build EO Satellite with Algeria

Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) and the Algerian Space Agency (ASAL) are working together to build a new Earth observation satellite: Alsat 1B. The new satellite builds on the accomplishments of Alsat 1A, which was launched in 2002. READ MORE

NEWS: BSEI to provide GF-2 data to users

China successfully launched the GF-2 at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday 19 August. This is a high-definition optical Earth Observation satellite that has a 1 meter resolution. The GF-2 images will have a swath width of 45 kilometres, the largest imaging width when compared to similar satellites. Beijing Space Eye Innovation Technology (BSEI) hopes to make the data available by end 2014 or early 2015. READ MORE
