During the 5th African Leadership Conference on Space Science and Technology for Sustainable Development (ALC-V) a special session was organized on the development of Near Equatorial Orbit Satellites in Africa. Four experts presented their papers and made some thought-provoking recommendations.

The AfricaGEO 2014 Conference & Exhibition will be held in Cape Town from the 1st July to 3rd July 2014. The conference will provide a platform to share the latest developments in the industry of surveying and geo-information (including remote sensing and aerial imagery) and the very pressing issue of sustainable development.
